Stephani Ellis Promoted to Associate Athletics Director, Marketing, Sales & Fan Experience

The Department of Athletics announced today that Stephani Ellis has been promoted to Associate Athletics Director of Marketing, Sales & Fan Experience.
GW's Assistant Athletics Director for Business Development & Revenue Generation since 2024, and a veteran of a decade of experience with the Vancouver Canadians Professional Baseball Club, Ellis will be responsible for the development and implementation of strategic marketing and ticket sales plans for GW Athletics, with a primary focus on the flagship men's and women's basketball programs.
"Stephani brings a strong background in strategic marketing and ticket sales that will be critical to the continued growth of GW Athletics," said Markus Jennings, Deputy Athletics Director/CRO. "Her experience enhancing the fan experience and building successful engagement strategies will play a key role in increasing attendance and strengthening our brand."
A former softball student-athlete at California University of Pennsylvania, Ellis will seek to deliver an outstanding game day experience for all parties to enhance the brand of GW Athletics and the university.
As a key member of the external operations unit that includes ticketing, communications, corporate partnerships and creative services, her leadership efforts will be geared towards increasing attendance and maximizing revenue by providing overall strategic vision and direction for the marketing and ticketing units.
