Assistant Coach

Lauren Weaver joined the GW men's and women's swimming and diving staff as assistant coach in the fall of 2014. A graduate of Duke ('14), Weaver served as team captain and was a four-year ACC Championship team selection. She was also chosen to the ACC Academic Honor Roll and received a CSCAA Scholar All-America First Team nod during her senior campaign. Weaver was a three-time All-ACC performer, earning accolades in the 50-yard freestyle and the 100-yard butterfly events.

"Coach Weaver had a notable collegiate swimming career, and I am excited for her to bring that experience to our program," said Head Coach Dan Rhinehart. "She has a great swimming background, and I am confident her knowledge will help elevate what we are trying to accomplish."

Weaver holds school records in three individual events as well as four relays for the Blue Devils and was a U.S. Olympic Team Trials qualifier in 2012. The Cincinnati, Ohio native made two appearances in the NCAA Championships while helping Duke to four consecutive ACC Championships (2011-2014).

"I am incredibly excited to be joining the GW swimming and diving staff," said Weaver. "I feel very fortunate to be given the opportunity to coach alongside a head coach as experienced as Dan Rhinehart, and to be doing so at a university as esteemed as George Washington."
