Heidebrecht Shines in Triple and Long Jump, Indoor Track Places Six in Top-10 at Fastrack Invitational

Staten Island, N.Y.- Competing in its penultimate regular season showing of the winter season, GW's indoor track cohort placed six student-athletes in the top-10 in their events, inclusive of graduate student Megan Heidebrecht's win in the Triple jump at Friday's Fastrack Invitational.

Heidebrecht, GW's stellar jumper, compiled an 11.82m finish in the triple jump to win the event, besting her competition by nearly half a meter. The graduate student also took second in the long jump, earning a 5.73m finish to once again shatter her personal best from last weekend's competition.

On the track, sophomore Hadley Mahoney placed third in the mile with a speedy 4:50.38. GW also saw Claire Bohan place eighth in the mile with a 4:55.30.
Running the 3000m event were top performers Una Boylan (10:01.94) and Kaitlyn Segreti (10:09.65). The distance pair earned third and fourth, respectively, for the Buff & Blue.

GW will make one final showing before competing at the A-10 Indoor Track & Field Championships, this time contending at Penn's Metro Invitational on Feb. 20 in Philadelphia.
