Three regular-season matches remain for GW men's soccer, which includes a pair this week as the Revolutionaries host Saint Joseph's at the GW Soccer Field on Tuesday (2 p.m.), before GW visits Dayton for a Saturday night showdown in Ohio (7 p.m.). Both matches will air on ESPN+.
GW will attempt to make up ground in the conference table this week with six points available. The Revolutionaries sit five points out of the top eight – the cutoff for postseason qualification – and face a pair of programs also on the outside looking in.
Saint Joseph's comes to The Vern on Tuesday, tied with GW at 0-3-2 in the A10 standings. The Hawks are coming off a 3-0 win over Northeastern, capping off a 1-1-1 homestand. Jake Ross leads Saint Joseph's with seven points, while Alex Smith has played every minute in net with a 1.00 GAA and 0.780 save percentage. GW leads the all-time series vs. Saint Joseph's, 21-9-3, which includes a 3-1-0 record vs. the Hawks in the last four matches at the GW Soccer Field.
Dayton sits at 1-2-2 in the conference standings, though that will change prior to Saturday as the Flyers visit Rhode Island on Wednesday for a midweek clash. Dayton is coming off their first win in conference, as it took down Fordham in a 2-1 home victory Saturday. The Flyers' Cooper Lijewski is the current conference leader in points with 20 on the season, five ahead of GW's Jaden Dubon, who is in second with 15. GW trails the all-time series vs. Dayton, 6-12-5, and are looking for its first win vs. the Flyers since 2021.
