Women’s Soccer Limits A-10’s Top Offense in 1-0 Loss

WASHINGTON – Despite limiting the Atlantic 10's most efficient offense, the George Washington women's soccer team couldn't capitalize on its own scoring opportunities, falling to Duquesne, 1-0. The Buff & Blue drop to 3-4-3 and 0-2-0 in A-10 action.

- 11th Minute: Brianna Moore tallied the match's lone goal, putting the Dukes ahead for good off assists from Maya Matesa and Lindsay Krafchick. The goal is Moore's fifth of the season.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Today's match marked just the third time this season the Dukes have tallied less than two goals in a match. The other two instances were shutout losses.
- Duquesne finished with a 22-11 edge in total shots and a 9-3 advantage in shots on goal.
- Kate Silverstein played the first half in net for GW, registering four saves and allowing one goal. Jasmine Black played the entire second half, notching three saves in the effort.
- Kate McGrath and Elizabeth Cruz led GW's offense with two shots apiece, each tallying one shot on goal as well.
- Duquesne tallied an 8-5 lead in corner kicks, while neither team was issued a card in the contest.
