Women’s Soccer Hosts Duquesne, Saint Louis in A-10 Action

WASHINGTON – After opening the Atlantic 10 slate on the road last Saturday against George Mason, the George Washington women's soccer team returns to The Vern this week for two matches. The Buff & Blue welcome Duquesne to the District on Thursday at 3:00 p.m., then host Saint Louis on Sunday for the team's Morgan's Message match. Both contests will be carried live on ESPN+.

The Dukes enter the week 6-2-1 following a 3-0 home win over Richmond last Sunday. Duquesne hasn't lost since Sept. 7, a 1-0 defeat to Bowling Green on the road. The club boasts four shutout wins thus far in 2025, beating those teams by a combined score of 16-0. Duquesne is led by Maya Matesa, who leads the nation in goals this season with 11. She's also tops in Division I, averaging 1.22 goals per game and has 23 points on the season. Saint Louis also enters the week 6-2-1, coming off a 2-0 win last Sunday against Davidson. The Billikens will spend the back half of the week on the East Coast, traveling to VCU on Thursday for a 7:00 p.m. match before arriving in DC for the weekend. SLU's two losses this year came at the hands of ranked opponents, the first a 4-1 loss to 10th-ranked Penn State, and the second a 3-0 defeat to eighth-ranked Iowa.
