
Men’s Soccer Drops Physical Battle to Stetson, 2-1

WASHINGTON - GW men's soccer was defeated for the first time at home this season, falling 2-1 to Stetson on Wednesday afternoon. The loss moved GW to 2-4-1 overall ahead of its first A-10 match of the season this weekend.
HOW IT HAPPENED
10TH MINUTE: Stetson opened the scoring early off the foot of Andres Mata, with an assist from Daniel Makowem.
17TH MINUTE: GW leveled the match when Colin Prendergast got his head to the end of a cross from Alex Nicholson and buried the chance. Nicholson and Louis Crofts were credited with assists.
70TH MINUTE: Benjamin Donato ripped a well-placed shot from the corner of the box past GW's goalkeeper. Joao Freitas assisted on the play.

Rashid Seidu-Aroza made his GW debut in the Revolutionaries starting XI and played 19 minutes in the first half

33 fouls were called in the match, with 19 called on the Hatters and 14 on the Revolutionaries
