
Women’s Soccer Looks to Maintain Momentum at Colgate, Binghamton

WASHINGTON – After having a week off following the first two matches of the season, a well-rested George Washington women's soccer team hits the road for matchups at Colgate and Binghamton. The Buff & Blue battle Colgate on Thursday night at 7:00 p.m., and then face Binghamton on Sunday at noon. Both contests will be carried live on ESPN+.
Julia Bilal lifted GW to victory in the team's season opener on Aug. 14th, registering a 39th-minute goal to defeat American, 1-0. The team followed it up with a 2-2 draw at Drexel on Aug. 17, with Kathleen Ngulefac and Naomi Kim both tallying their first collegiate scores. Now, coming off 10 days of rest, the Revolutionaries will look to go unbeaten through the team's first four games for the first time since 2022.

Thursday's match marks the first all-time meeting between the two programs. Colgate enters the new week at 1-1-1 after most recently dropping a 2-1 match to Cornell last Sunday. The Raiders played to a 1-1 draw in their season opener against Buffalo on Aug. 17, before topping Marist, 2-1, for the team's first victory of the year. Nikki DiCaprio, Molly Richards, Josie Turney and Jess Urena have all scored one goal apiece to lead Colgate's offense. Binghamton currently holds a 2-1-0 record prior to their match at Marist on Thursday. Last season, the Bearcats traveled to GW for the first meeting between the two clubs in program history. The visitors walked away with a 3-2 win, setting up a rematch this year with GW looking to even the all-time series. Binghamton earned back-to-back 2-1 wins over Lehigh and St. Bonaventure to open the 2025 campaign before being shut out, 2-0, against Monmouth last Sunday.
