Men’s Soccer Opens 2025 at Old Dominion Thursday, Home vs. Binghamton Sunday

WASHINGTON - The 61st season of GW men's soccer begins as the Revolutionaries open 2025 with a pair of games this week. GW hits the road for the season opener at Old Dominion on Thursday night (7:00 p.m.), before returning home to take on Binghamton in the 2025 home opener on Sunday (12:00 p.m.). Both games this week will be streamed on ESPN+.
Head Coach Craig Jones enters his 14th season at the helm of the Buff & Blue, and he brings an exciting lineup into 2025. GW added 10 student-athletes to the roster to join an experienced group of 17 returning Revolutionaries.
The Revolutionaries are bringing a total of nine student-athletes who played 800+ minutes for GW in 2024, including 2024 leading goal scorer Louis Crofts, 2023 & 2024 starting goalkeeper Tom Macauley, Jaden Dubon, Joe Liebe, Alex Nicholson, Colin Prendergast, Nico Medina, Mark Nakamura and Dan Dobrin.

The Revolutionaries and Monarchs meet early in the year for the third-straight season. GW and ODU battled to a 2-2 draw in Norfolk in 2023, before ODU got the better of Buff & Blue in 2024, downing GW, 4-2, in Washington. GW trails the all-time series, 1-5-1. ODU finished last season at 7-8-2, including a 3-5-1 mark in the loaded Sun Belt Conference, eventually falling to No. 8 Marshall in the first round of the conference tournament.

GW and Binghamton will play in the fourth all-time meeting between the programs on Sunday. The all-time series is tied, 1-1-1, after three early-season matches from 2016-18. The Bearcats finished 2024 with an 8-7-4 record, including a 2-3-2 mark in the American East Conference. Binghamton travels to Boston College on Thursday to open its season before Sunday's contest in Washington.
