WASHINGTON -Â GW lacrosse wrapped up its season on Saturday afternoon at the GW Lacrosse Field, opening the day by celebrating its eight seniors for their contributions to the program.Â
Once the festivities were put aside and the game began, though, the celebrations were primarily reserved for visiting St. Bonaventure as the Bonnies rolled to a 17-7 win.
GW scored on the opening possession of the game, with graduate student Caroline Sullivan potting a goal 42 seconds into the contest to put the Revolutionaries ahead, 1-0.Â
The Bonnies then scored six-straight to close the period and ultimately notched 14 consecutive tallies before the Buff & Blue got back on the board five minutes into the third quarter on a tally from Emma McLaughlin.
Grace Curry completed her standout season for the Buff & Blue with four goals in the second half, and finished the campaign with a team-high 45 tallies to tie for fifth-most in program history. Kiki Rotay netted one more to account for the GW scoring.
Gabi Greth made five saves in net for George Washington while St. Bonaventure's Katelyn Hicks played the full 60 and made 11 stops.Â
