11/13/2025 8:49:00 AM | Men's Track/Cross Country, Women's Track/Cross Country
GW cross country is set to race against the region's best when it heads to Bethlehem, Pa. to compete in Friday's NCAA Regional meet. The women will open the competition at noon racing in the 6k, followed by the men's 8k which is slotted for a 1 p.m. start with an awards ceremony to follow. The race's live results can be found here.
At the conclusion of the meet, the top two teams in the regional will secure automatic bids to the NCAA Championship. The first four regional finishers not from an automatic qualifying or at-large team also will secure an auto-bid to the Championships. Teams that don't secure an automatic bid will have to rely on the NCAA D-I Cross Country Subcommittee to select it as one of the 13 at-large teams. Two individual at-large individuals are selected for the national meet as well, held in Columbia, Mo. On Nov. 22.
A GLANCE BACK
The Buff & Blue enjoyed a successful A-10 Championship meet, highlighted by senior Michael Bohlke who bested the competition by over 10 seconds to claim the individual men's title in 23:46. Bohlke is also the program's record holder which he earned earlier in the year with a 23:21 mark.
On the women's side four runners, Hadley Mahoney, Sarah Mitchell, Lola Dinneen and Claire Bohan each claimed All-Conference accolades as they led the women's team to finish second in the field.
This Friday, GW's five All-Conference runners will each compete alongside women's runners Una Boylan, Julia Shanes and Maya Van Horn and men's runners Brayden Bayek, Austin Brotemarkle, Otto Erhart, Joe Fahrney, Charles Mbuthia and Cole McCue in the regional competition.
