Cross Country Primed for A-10 Championships

GW cross country is primed to contend among the league's best when it heads to Dayton, Ohio to race in the annual Atlantic 10 Championship on Saturday morning. This year, the men's 8k will be contended at 10 a.m., promptly followed by the women's 6k at 10:50.

· This year, the Buff & Blue will race nine men and 10 women in the championship meet. Brayden Bayek, Michael Bohlke, Austin Brotemarkle, Otto Erhart, Joe Fahrney, Jimmy Gildea, Charles Mbuthia, Cole McCue and Nic Rodgers will race the men's 8k, while Claire Bohan, Una Boylan, Lola Dinneen, Hadley Mahoney, Sarah Mitchell, Ashley Robinson, Kaitlyn Segreti, Julia Shanes, Olivia Teates and Maya Van Horn will race the women's 6k.
· Last time out, Bohlke earned a program record in the 8k, dominating the previous record of 23:56 to etch in his mark on the top of the list with a 23:21. With the strong showing, Bohlke was recognized by the league as Performer of the Week. The senior also collected All-Conference honors at last year's championship.
· In the preseason poll, the GW men collected a fourth-place ranking, while the women checked in at fifth.
· At last year's championship, the Buff & Blue notched a 6th place finish out of 15 teams on the women's side, while for the men, the Revolutionaries earned a 4th place finish.
