WASHINGTON – Looking to snap a five-game skid, the George Washington women's basketball team travels across the Potomac to Fairfax, Va., for a meeting with George Mason on Saturday afternoon. Tip-off is slated for 3:00 p.m. inside EagleBank Arena, with live coverage available on ESPN+ and MASN.
SECOND MEETING WITH THE PATRIOTS
Saturday's contest marks the second meeting between GW and George Mason this season, the first time the Buff & Blue have faced the same opponent twice this year. GDUB will play four Atlantic 10 teams twice this season, seeing the Patriots, UMass, Loyola Chicago and Fordham on two separate occasions. Next Wednesday, the Buff & Blue travel to Amherst for the first of two meetings with the Minutewomen before hosting them for GW's final home game of the season on Feb. 26, the last time the two will face as conference foes. GW's full 2024-25 schedule can be found here.
FINDING THE RIGHT COMBINATION
Through 18 games this season, GW has used nine different starting lineups, the eighth-most nationally to this point in the season. New Orleans of the Southland Conference has used the most this season with 12, while St. Bonaventure leads the A-10 with 11 lineup combinations in 2024-25. The group of Gabby Reynolds, Sara Lewis, Kamari Sims, Makayla Andrews and Paige Mott has been the most used starting lineup this season, taking the floor first on four separate occasions.
