Women’s Soccer Stumbles at No. 22 Saint Louis

SAINT LOUIS, Mo. – The George Washington women's soccer team suffered a 4-0 setback at Saint Louis on Sunday afternoon, dropping the Revolutionaries to 3-5-2 on the season and 1-1 in Atlantic 10 action. The 22nd-ranked Billikens improve to 6-1-3 on the year and 2-0 in conference play.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Saint Louis registered all four goals in the first half, two of which came in the first four minutes of play. The Billikens tallied two goals in the fourth minute, one in the 21st and the final score in the 31st. Emily Gaebe registered SLU's first score, her seventh of the season, which is fourth-best in the conference.

GW returns to the pitch on Sunday, Sept. 29, to face area-rival George Mason at the Mount Vernon Athletic Complex. The contest will be carried live on ESPN+ with a scheduled start time of 1:00 p.m.

- Ainsley Lumpe notched nine saves for GW in 90 minutes of work. SLU's Nimu Karani earned the start, notching two saves. She was subbed out at halftime for Emily Puricelli who played the entirety of the second half.
- GW's Lauren Prentice recorded two shots on the day, one of which was on target. Isabel Kelly was responsible for GW's third shot on goal.
