Paquette and Rickert Named to A-10 All-Academic Team

WASHINGTON - The Atlantic 10 Conference announced its Swimming & Diving All-Academic Team on Thursday, naming GW diver Olivia Paquette and swimmer Marlee Rickert to the team. Both Paquette and Rickert were standout performers at the 2024 A-10 Championships, and along with quality work in the classroom, they have both earned their first A-10 All-Academic Team selection.
Paquette, with a 3.88 GPA in her time at GW, finished the A-10 Championships with the title of Most Outstanding Female Diver as she dominated the field, winning both the 1-meter (287.40) and 3-meter (325.20) dives. Paquette's victories came with large margins - she won the 3-meter by more than 27 points and the 1-meter by nearly 26 points. The sophomore from Laguna Niguel, Calif., contributed 40 points to the Revolutionaries' title run in her second trip to the A-10 Championships.
Rickert, a native of Leesport, Pa. with a 3.81 GPA, made the most of her senior trip to the A-10 Championships. She scored 35 individual points and contributed further as a member of four of GW's five relay wins. In her individual events, Rickert finished as high as third place in the 100-yard backstroke (53.65), and added a fifth-place finish in the 100-yard freestyle (49.98) and a 12th-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle (23.14). Rickert was also a key piece in GW's relay domination as a member of the gold-medal winning 200-yard medley relay (1:38.23), 200-yard freestyle relay (1:30.48), 400-yard medley relay (3:35.19) and 400-yard freestyle relay (3:18.15).
