
Women’s Soccer Stopped at La Salle

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Three first-half goals helped propel La Salle past the George Washington women's soccer team on Sunday afternoon, 3-1.
HOW IT HAPPENED
· 16th Minute: Sunni DiElmo got La Salle on the scoreboard first, recording her fourth goal of the season via an assist from Elizabeth Estrada.
· 19th Minute: The Explorers doubled their lead three minutes later when Haley Gschrey tallied her team-leading eighth score of the season. The goal was unassisted.
· 40th Minute: Late in the first half, La Salle tallied its final goal of the afternoon off the foot of Alexia Garcia. Garcia now has three goals on the year, with the assist going to Liv Vrcella.
· 56th Minute: Out of the halftime break, GW's offense got in on the action when first-year Selah Koleth tallied her second goal of the season. Fellow first-year Julia Bilal assisted Koleth's goal.

- Kate Silverstein recorded six saves in net for the Buff & Blue, while Michela Auguadro notched five.
- Aside from Koleth's goal, GW had five other shots on target for the afternoon. Amelia Booth and Kalia Kau each tallied two apiece, while Alex Caldwell registered one.
- Sophomore Sophia Broz was issued a yellow card in the 41st minute, one of nine fouls for GW on the afternoon. La Salle was whistled for six infractions.
