RIVERDALE, N.Y. - The second match of the year for the George Washington men's soccer team ended just as the first did, as GW battled Manhattan to a 2-2 draw at Gaelic Field on Monday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED

6th Minute: Manhattan's leading scorer from the 2022 season, Gunnar Studenhoff, cracked into the scoring early, tucking a shot into the lower-right corner of the net.
31st Minute: First-year Yago Torres found the equalizer for the visitors in the 31st minute. Will Turner collected his second assist of the season, and the goal was Torres' first of the campaign.
57th Minute: Newcomer Ben Hissrich gave GW the lead when he fired home his team-leading second goal of the year, which was assisted by Alex Nicholson in the 57th minute.
87th Minute: In the waning minutes, Manhattan's Tony Yoboah equalized the match with his first goal of the season.

NOTEWORTHY

GW scored on its first shot of the match, but was outshot 6-2 in the first half.
Six of GW's seven total shots were on-target.
Tom Macauley got the nod in net for the second-consecutive match and made three saves on 11 shots faced.
Torres' goal was the first of his collegiate career.
Through two matches, Turner (1 goal, 2 assists) and Hissrich (2 goals) lead the Revolutionaries with four points apiece.
Turner has scored or assisted on three of GW's four goals to begin the season.
Nicholson had a game-high two shots on goal.
