Bison hand GW first loss of the season
LEWISBURG, Pa. – Despite a late push by the Revolutionaries, the GW women's soccer team (1-1) came up short in a 3-1 loss at Bucknell (2-0) on Sunday afternoon. Junior Caitlin Cunningham registered the first goal of her collegiate career in the 86th minute for GW, but it wasn't enough to spark the late comeback.
HOW IT HAPPENED
10th Minute: Bucknell's Henna Andican hammered home a rebound off teammate Sydney Hess' shot to register the first goal of the match. 62nd Minute: The Bison registered their second goal of the match on a tap-in by Reese Evans. Bucknell teammate Teresa Deda chipped the ball over GW's goalkeeper to set up Evans for the tap-in. The goal is Evans' first of the year, while Deda picks up her second assist of the season. Andican of Bucknell also registered an assist on the play, her second of the match.

Deda's shot curved just over the outstretched hand of Grace Crowe, GW's goalkeeper, and ducked under the crossbar into the back of the net for her second goal of the season. Setting up Deda on the play was Hess who dished out her second assist of the day.
86th Minute: GW found the scoreboard late in the contest off a dart from the left foot of Cunningham. Cunningham's shot ducked inside the top corner of the goal for her first score of the year. Assisting on the play was Kelly Poole, who registered her second assist of the season.
