Diving Earns Two Consolation Victories on First Day of West Virginia Invitational

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - Dara Reyblat and Michael Wood earned consolation victories for the Buff and Blue on Thursday, as GW completed the opening day of the West Virginia Invitational. The Revolutionaries return for day two tomorrow, with the men set to compete on the 1m board and the women on the 3m board. Friday's prelims will begin at 10 a.m. and finals will begin at 6 p.m., and results can be found on divemeets.com.
WOMEN'S 1M HIGHLIGHTS

Reyblat, the only Revolutionary to compete in Thursday's 1m competition, finished as the top diver in the 1m consolation final (265.60).
MEN'S 3M HIGHLIGHTS

A pair of first-years led the Revolutionaries to earn first and third place in the 3m consolation final. Wood earned the consolation victory with the top score of his young collegiate career(300.40) after he finished the qualifying round in 10th place (284.15). Ben Bradley finished the consolation final in third place (291.90) after he finished the qualifying round in 11th (283.75).
