HOW IT HAPPENED
- 39th Minute: GW took a 1-0 lead late in the first half courtesy of a goal by sophomore Isabel Kelly. Kelly's goal was a tap-in off a corner kick from sophomore Aoi Kataoka. The assist gives Kataoka eight on the season, placing her in a tie for second-most in a single season in program history. Kataoka is tied with Jane Andersen, who tallied eight assists in 1998, and is just two behind Jolie DePauw's record of 10 set in 1986.
- 47th Minute: Despite trailing 1-0 at half, Davidson's Savannah Pruitt put the Wildcats on the board in the first two minutes of the second half. The goal was Pruitt's third of the season and was assisted by Brooke Roumy.
- 71st Minute: Davidson took the lead midway through the second half via a goal from Annaliese Mann. Mann tapped in a deflected ball that was sent in off a free kick from Brooke Ditcham. The score was Mann's first of the year and Ditcham was credited with the assist.
- 87th Minute: After Davidson committed a foul inside the box, GW was awarded a penalty kick in the closing stages of the second half. Kelly stepped up and knocked it in, tallying her second goal of the day to even the match at two.
- 90th Minute: With under 10 seconds remaining, Riley Patton sent a free kick over the outstretched hand of GW's goalkeeper to lift Davidson to the win. The kick was taken at the top of the box and marked Patton's second score of the season.
