Danyko-Kulchycky scores first GW goal
COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Sophia Danyko-Kulchycky gave GW women's soccer an early lead on the road at Maryland, but the host Terrapins scored three unanswered to secure a 3-1 win on Thursday night.

10th Minute: GW scored on its first shot of the game as Danyko-Kulchycky beat the Maryland keeper high for a 1-0 lead.
25th Minute: Hope Lewandowski evened the score for the home side going low left.
33rd Minute: Maryland took the lead for good on a marker from Emily McNesby.
67th Minute: Madison Oracion doubled the Terps' lead midway through the second stanza and the Colonials were unable to make up the difference.

• Making her first career start, Danyko-Kulchycky wasted no time in scoring her first goal of the year. The Connecticut transfer has now scored 11 times in her career in total.
• Danyko-Kulchycky accounted for three of GW's seven shots on net. Maryland held a 22-7 edge in shots overall.
* Tamaki Machi made five saves for the Buff and Blue, adding to her league-leading total. She has now stopped 33 shots in five matches.
