Amador, Neyman net first goals of the season
ANNAPOLIS, Md. - A back-and-forth first half led way to a frenetic second half and overtime as GW women's soccer earned a draw with Patriot League preseason favorite Navy, 2-2, on Sunday afternoon.

• 11th Minute: Off the counter-attack, Maria Pareja fed a beautiful cross from the right side to a waiting Kelly Amador who snuck behind the Navy defense and beat the keeper 1 v. 1 into the lower right corner.
• 28th Minute: Navy drew even off a corner kick with Katie Herrmann heading one in from the far corner.
• 33rd Minute: The Buff & Blue quickly countered five minutes later thanks to some nifty footwork on the touchline from Sophia Danyko-Kulchycky, who spun past her defender and set up Sammy Neyman for the tap-in.
• 43rd Minute: The Midshipmen again squared things up, this time on a throw-in that found the foot of Rylee Rives, who sent a high ball into the top left corner.

• Tamaki Machi made eight saves, including three critical stops in double overtime.
• Amador's marker was her sixth career goal and first since Oct. 27, 2019, while she was one of just four Colonials to play all 110 minutes.
• Neyman led the team with five shots and scored her first career goal in her 34th career appearance for the Buff & Blue.
• Navy held a slight edge in shots, 23-17, including a 10-6 advantage in shots on target.
