A-10 Announces 2021-22 Women's Basketball Pairings

Colonials play home-and-home series with Davidson, George Mason and St. Bonaventure
NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - The Atlantic 10 Conference released the women's basketball pairings for the 2021-22 season on Thursday, returning to a 16-game format that was used prior to last season.
GW will once again take part in a home-and-home series with local foe George Mason, in addition to a pair of matchups vs. Davidson and St. Bonaventure. The Colonials will also welcome La Salle, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Richmond and Saint Louis to the Smith Center this year after not seeing the Minutewomen, Rams and Billikens during the 2020-21 season.
The Buff & Blue are scheduled for road trips to Dayton, Duquesne, Fordham, Saint Joseph's and VCU this season. All dates and times, including information on the 2022 Atlantic 10 Women's Basketball Championship, will be released at a later date.
First-year head coach Caroline McCombs will get her initial taste of the A-10 this year with a roster featuring four dynamic transfer student-athletes in Sheslanie Laureano (Florida SouthWestern), Nya Lok (Midland College), Tyasia Moore (Troy) and Taylor Webster (UNCW).
Three first-years - Sophie Haydon, Michelle Ojo and Leila Patel - also join a returning core that features a wealth of upperclassmen experience in senior Maddie Loder, juniors Faith Blethen, Essence Brown and Mayowa Taiwo and sophomores Aurea Gingras and Piper Macke.
