Ioanna Mantzouratos led GW with four goals
FAIRFAX, Va. – The GW lacrosse team earned its second win over George Mason on Friday night, topping the Patriots 14-11.Â

HOW IT HAPPENED
George Mason came out scoring, putting two past Megan Patrick for the early 2-0 advantage. The Buff and Blue were quick to respond with a pair of goals from Amber Germer and Bailey Aaron. The Patriots took the 3-2 lead, and that would be home team's final lead of the game. GW went on to score seven more goals in the first half to head into the break with the 9-5 advantage.

The two teams traded goals for most of the second half, with GW never letting George Mason cut the deficit any closer than three. Ioanna Mantzouratos scored twice for the Buff and Blue in the second half, while Germer netted her second of the game. Sophia Watkinson added a goal of her own, and Alana Greene scored in the final four minutes of play to help lift GW over its Revolutionary Rival for the second time this season.
