Rickert Sets Program Record at A-10 Championships

Buff & Blue remain fourth in team standings
GENEVA, Ohio - Marlee Rickert claimed silver with a program-record effort in the 100 back on Friday at the SPIRE Institute to lead the way for GW women's swimming and diving at the Atlantic 10 Championships.
The first-year from Leesport, Pa., touched in 54.62 seconds to break a mark that dated back to 2018 and secure her first career conference medal.
For the day, GW placed eight swimmers and all four of its divers into individual finals with eight total A finalists.
After three days of competition, the Buff and Blue remain in fourth in the team standings with 306 points. Richmond (467.5) has the lead, followed by Duquesne (394) and Davidson (374).
HIGHLIGHTS
- Andrea Moussier dropped more than two seconds from her prelims time to take fourth in the 400 IM in 4:21.71. Ann Juneau placed 12th in a career-best time of 4:29.56.
- After qualifying for the 200 free A final in a career-best time of 1:49.82 that's good for No. 4 on the program's all-time top 10, Erin McCarthy placed seventh. Grace Olivardia finished third in the B final for 11th in 1:50.49.
- Stine Omdahl Petersen dropped time from her prelims swim in the 100 breast to take fourth in 1:02.62, while Courtney Sicinski joined her in the A final and took seventh in a career-best time of 1:03.79.
- Andrea Ho placed eighth in the 100 back after qualifying for the A final with a season-best prelims time of 55.65 seconds.
- Rickert also led off the night-closing 400 medley relay, combining with Omdahl Petersen, Ho and Olivardia on a fifth-place finish in 3:44.84.
- Competing at George Mason, all four of GW's divers advanced for the second straight day. Caitlin Inall and Jamie Doak qualified for the A final on the 1-meter board before finishing seventh and eighth, respectively. Inall's finals score of 252.25 was a career best, while Doak established her personal high in prelims with 253.70. Gabriella Arendes (11th) and Carolina Stocchi (15th) represented the Buff and Blue in the B final.
UP NEXT: The meet wraps up Saturday with preliminary races beginning at 8:30 a.m. and finals set for 3:30 p.m. All of the action will be streamed via ESPN+.
