Women's Swimming & Diving Begins at A-10 Championships

Buff & Blue took fourth in 800 free relay
GENEVA, Ohio - GW women's swimming and diving opened the Atlantic 10 Championships on Wednesday evening at the SPIRE Institute.
The 800 free relay team of Marlee Rickert, Grace Olivardia, Erin McCarthy and Andrea Moussier placed fourth with a time of 7:25.36, just missing out on a podium finish.
After being disqualified in the opening 200 medley relay, GW sits at the bottom of the team standings with 30 points. Davidson won both of Wednesday's races and has the top spot with 80 points ahead of Richmond (68) and Duquesne (64).
UP NEXT: The individual swimming events begin Thursday at the A-10 Championships. The women's preliminary races begin at 8:30 a.m. with finals set for 3:30 p.m. Diving prelims begin at 9:30 a.m. at George Mason's Aquatic and Fitness Center with finals at 3:30 p.m. All of the action will be streamed via ESPN+.
