MAXIMUM MAXINE
Last time out against Lehigh, first-year Maxine Engel was called into action due to GW's lack of available forwards, and she did not disappointment. In her first career minutes, Engel scored eight points and added a block and rebound.
The Memphis native took home A-10 Rookie of the Week honors for her effort against the Mountain Hawks.
STEAL AND SCORE
Against the Mountain Hawks last Tuesday, GW scored 18 points off of Lehigh turnovers. It marked the third straight game that GW has scored more than 16 points off of its opponents giveaways, and it was the ninth time this season that GW has had double digit points off of turnovers.
GW's season high in points off of turnovers came when the Colonials scored 27 against Georgetown.
LOOKING AT WEST CHESTER
The Golden Rams entered this season as a team looking to take the next step forward in the PSAC. Picked seventh in the conference's preseason poll, West Chester narrowly missed out on the conference tournament in 2020-21, but returned several talented players to the roster, including second team all-conference selection, Leah Johnson.
West Chester enters Tuesday night at 3-7, but having lost four straight games. With that in mind, the Golden Rams can still score, averaging just over 63 points a game and shooting 40 percent from the field as a team.
