Men's Water Polo Visits Navy

GW men's water polo will make the short trip to Navy on Thursday night to make up a Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference contest that was postponed due to flooding in the area last week. It's a 7:30 p.m. start at Lejeune Hall in Annapolis, Md.
LAST TIME OUT:Â GW secured a 12-11 win over Mount St. Mary's on Sunday afternoon. Antonin Kralj led the way with three goals, while Andrija Sekulic, Viktor Jovanovic and Nick Schroeder chipped in two goals apiece to help the Buff and Blue edge the Mount in a tight conference contest.
Kralj and goalkeeper Luca Castorina were honored on the MAWPC weekly honor roll for their play in the victory.
DECORATED DEFENSE: Castorina made 15 saves in Sunday's victory to boost his season save percentage to .506. The sophomore netminder has 222 stops vs. 217 goals allowed on the season. He's totaled at least 15 saves seven times in 18 games, highlighted by a 20-save effort on Sept. 4 vs. Princeton as part of the season-opening doubleheader to set a career high.
SCOUTING THE MIDSHIPMEN: Navy (9-10, 4-1 MAWPC) earned its third straight conference win on Oct. 22, cruising past Mount St. Mary's, 18-6. Isaac Salinas netted a team-high three goals in the victory and leads the Midshipmen with 40 goals and 10 assists over the 19 games.
These two teams are set to meet again in Annapolis, Md., on Nov. 13 at 8 p.m. in the Buff and Blue's regular season finale.
UP NEXT: GW is back in Foggy Bottom on Sunday with a doubleheader at Smith Center Pool vs. Wagner (10 a.m.) and Fordham (3 p.m.).
