
Cross Country Ends Historic Seasons With Record Showing at NCAA Regionals

Both the women's & men's teams earn record setting finish at NCAA Regionals
BETHLEHEM, Pa. - GW women's and men's cross country capped off their record-breaking seasons in historic fashion on Friday afternoon, with the women taking home a program-best 6th place finish and the men earning a program-best 13th place finish at the Mid-Atlantic Regional, hosted by Lehigh.
For the women, Peri Pavicic led all GW runners with a 26th place finish in a time of 21:15.6, while James Glockenmeier set a new personal record, finishing 33rd overall with a time of 31:39.5.
NOTES
• The GW women's sixth-place finish marks the second-straight year that the team has finished in the top-10.
• The GW women had three runners finish in the top 50 and five racers finish in the top 60, including junior Margaret Coogan, who capped off her historic year with a 30th place finish.
• First-year, Olivia Syftestad set a new personal record in the 6K event Friday, finishing in a time of 21:49.2.
• On the men's side, their 13th place finish is the highest mark for the program since the team took 14th place at the 2017 NCAA Regionals.
•Individually, Logan Broedner, Kevin Conlon, Alex Longway and Ryan Fowkes all made their 10k event debut.
