The Buff & Blue return to The Vern for a Sunday matinee
WASHINGTON - GW women's soccer returns to the Mount Vernon Soccer Field on Sunday, when it faces La Salle in an Atlantic 10 matchup that kicks off at 1 p.m.
LAST TIME OUT: Despite a revamped lineup and a strong offensive game from sophomore Lauren Prentice, the Colonials were unable to grab a victory against Saint Louis, falling 4-0.
SCOUTING THE EXPLORERS: La Salle enters Sunday's matchup at 3-7-2 on the season and 1-3-1 in A-10 play. Junior Emily Banashefski is La Salle's main offensive threat, leading the team in goals, points and shots. Meanwhile, in net, the Explorers have gotten production from both redshirt junior Jordyn Stallard and first-year Michela Auguadro.
PREVIOUS MEETING AGAINST LA SALLE: GW's last matchup against La Salle came back in the 2019 season, when the Colonials and Explorers met in their respective A-10 openers. Isabelle Eskay scored the game-winning goal, and Tamaki Machi made six saves in the Buff & Blue's 3-1 victory.
UP NEXT: GW will hit the road again for a contest at Dayton. The match will take place Thursday, Oct. 14 at 7 p.m.
