Six different Colonials registered a shot on goal

WASHINGTON - George Washington women's soccer came up short on Sunday afternoon, dropping a 1-0 contest to the Explorers at Mount Vernon Soccer Field.

Despite the Colonials' offense putting up shots in droves, GW was unable to solve La Salle keeper Michela Auguadro, who made seven saves.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
56th Minute: Camaren Cox scored the lone goal for La Salle when she buried a goal past Tamaki Machi. Cox's goal was set up from a cross by teammate Isabelle Gonsiewski.

NOTEWORTHY
- For the third time this season, GW had eight different players register a shot, including six different Colonials with a shot on goal.
- Kelly Amador and Sophia Danyko-Kulchycky continued to pace the Colonial offense, with each registering three shots on the day. Amador leads the team with 30 shots this season, while Danyko-Kulchycky sits one shot behind her at 29.
-Each team had two corner opportunities during Sunday afternoon's match.

UP NEXT: GW heads back on the road Thursday for another conference tilt. The Buff and Blue will face Dayton in a 7 p.m. kickoff.
