Colonials set for Kurtz Cup (B-Division) play
SERVING FIRST: The No. 14 George Washington women's squash team is set to kick off play at the College Squash Association Team Nationals on Friday afternoon when it goes head-to-head with No. 11 Cornell at 12 p.m.
LAST TIME AT NATIONALS: GW went 1-2 in the Kurtz Cup last year at the CSA National Championship at Trinity. After falling to Cornell, 8-1, and Middlebury, 6-3, the Colonials edged Amherst, 5-4, to finish the season ranked 14th nationally.
BRACKET BREAKDOWN: The Kurtz Cup is comprised of teams ranked 9-16 in the latest CSA National rankings. Also in the bracket along with GW and Cornell are No. 9 Dartmouth, No. 10 Virginia, No. 12 Brown, No. 13 Williams, No. 15 Middlebury, and No. 16 Bates. GW is 1-5 against the field this season with its victory coming against Middlebury.
