Hu Named A-10 Rookie of the Week

Hu posted pair of runner-up finishes vs. William & Mary
NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Zach Hu of GW men's swimming and diving was honored as Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week on Tuesday for his efforts last weekend at William & Mary.
Hu led the Colonials in both distance events vs. the five-time defending CAA champion Tribe with a pair of runner-up finishes. The China native touched second in the 1,000 free (9:49.12) and later duplicated the feat in the 500 free (4:45.59).
Hu becomes the fourth GW rookie to be honored this season, joining teammates George Aspougalis (twice), Stine Omdahl Petersen (twice) and Tyler Kawakami.
GW is back in action on Saturday at West Virginia in its regular season finale. It's an 11 a.m. start at the Aquatic Center at Mylan Park.
