Indoor Track Heads to George Mason for Patriot Games

Colonials aim to build off season-opening success
WASHINGTON - GW indoor track is back in action this weekend, making the short trip to Fairfax, Va., for the Patriot Games, hosted by George Mason. The weekend kicks off Friday evening with the 5k races, followed by the remainder of action on Saturday.
The Colonials set three school records in the first indoor event of the season last weekend at the Terrapin Invitational. First-year Miles Grant made a splash in his Buff & Blue debut, breaking the school mark in the long jump at 6.48m. He was joined in the record-breaking category by senior Jared Nelson, who surpassed his previous record in the 60m by .07 with a time of 7.40.
Junior Kathryn Nohilly stood out on the women's side with a new school-best mark in the 800m of 2:18.62. Senior Suzanne Dannheim also claimed victory in the 3000m with a time of 9:54.21.
