Colonials set to host nine games at home

WASHINGTON – The George Washington lacrosse team is set to host nine opponents in 2020 and face eight more on the road during an 17-match schedule this spring, first-year head coach Jennifer Uhlehla announced on Friday.

GW opens its 2020 campaign with a three-game road swing, kicking off its season at Temple on Feb. 8. The Colonials will then head to Mount St. Mary's on Feb. 15 before making the trip down to North Carolina to face Duke, which finished ranked No. 15 at the conclusion of the 2019 season.

The Buff and Blue are set to open their home slate on Feb. 26 with a bout against local foe American before hosting Campbell on March 1. The Colonials will get to face another District rival on March 4 when they host Georgetown at 3 p.m. at the GW Lacrosse Field on the Mount Vernon Campus.

The Colonials will wrap the non-conference portion of their schedule with back-to-back bouts on the road at William & Mary (March 8)Â and play their final non-conference opponent on April 15 when they go head-to-head with the UMBC Retrievers for Senior Day at 3 p.m.

GW kicks off A-10 action at St. Bonaventure on March 22 before returning home to host Davidson on March 27. The Colonials will also host Massachusetts (March 29), La Salle (April 11) and Saint Joseph's (April 18) and travel to VCU (April 3), Richmond (April 5) and Duquesne (April 9).
