Women's Water Polo Recognized for Academic Success

Colonials honored by ACWPC for work in classroom
BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -Â Seven George Washington women's water polo student-athletes have earned Association of College Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) All-Academic recognition.
Thanks to a combined GPA of 3.21, the Colonials also garnered team recognition for the third consecutive season.
First-years Megan Tomasi (3.78) and Hayden Carlson (3.77) received top honors with outstanding status for holding cumulative GPAs of at least 3.71. Abbie Lukas (3.56), Allison DeCicco (3.50), Emma Shaffer (3.45) and Samantha Runyon (3.41) received excellent honors, while Kira Bruno (3.36) was recognized on the superior list.
DeCicco and Bruno were honored for the third straight season with Shaffer and Runyon lauded for the second time. It's the 11th consecutive season the program has placed at least five student-athletes onto the ACWPC's All-Academic list.
