Senior finishes career in style with top mark in 1500m
PRINCETON, N.J. - Senior Halley Brown of the GW outdoor track & field team capped her career with a school record in the 1500m as part of the ECAC/I4AC Championship, held by Princeton.
Brown erased a second off her previous school mark in the event set previously in 2017, finishing in 11th overall at 4:28.67. It's the third school record she's helped set in the outdoor season, also doing so in the 4x1500m and the Distance Medley Relay.
Brown departs GW holding a stake in eight school records. In addition to the outdoor 1500m and the relays, she holds the top mark in the indoor 1000m, indoor 4x800m, indoor Distance Medley Relay, outdoor 800m and outdoor 3000m.
Senior Andrew Weber ran in the 10000m and finished 21st with a time of 32:02.02. Weber finishes his tenure in the Buff & Blue as the school record holder in the outdoor 10000m and the indoor 5000m. He also reached the regional race in cross country the last two years.
