First-year tallied seven goals in two games
BRIDGEPORT, Pa. - George Washington's Juliette Belanger has been named the Collegiate Water Polo Association Rookie of the Week.
The first-year from Ottawa, Canada, led the Colonials in scoring in a pair of CWPA contests last week, totaling seven goals.
Belanger netted three goals Saturday against No. 14 Harvard before converting four of six attempts Sunday vs. No. 23 Bucknell. She also added a steal and an ejection drawn in the weekend finale.
It's the first CWPA weekly honor for Belanger, who ranks second among Colonials with 30 goals this season.
GW is back in action this weekend, closing out the regular season with three more CWPA matchups at Bucknell's Kinney Natatorium.
