Women's Basketball Renews Acquaintances with George Mason

Colonials look to earn season split on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
WASHINGTON - GW women's basketball wraps up its two-game road trip with a quick jaunt to Fairfax, Va. to take on local rival George Mason on Wednesday. Tip is scheduled for 7 p.m. with the game streamed on ESPN+.
LAST TIME OUT: GW fell at Saint Louis, 60-44, on Sunday. Sophomore Neila Luma was the top scorer for the Buff & Blue with 13 points and seven rebounds. Having dropped two straight, the Colonials are aiming to avoid their first two-game road losing streak since 2013 and three straight league games overall for the first time since Feb. 2012.
HOT AND COLD: GW's 5-4 conference mark is indicative of the youthful nature of the squad and the bumps in the road that come as a result. All five of GW's triumphs have come by nine or fewer points while three of the four setbacks have been by double figures. A look into the statistics highlights some key elements:

She has posted at least two steals and three assists in seven straight games.

The Patriots have been a streaky team in league play, dropping three straight followed by three straight wins and now consecutive losses.
