Women’s Squash Wraps Up Fall Slate

Colonials secured three victories against No. 7 Penn
WASHINGTON – The George Washington women's squash team concluded its fall schedule over the weekend with a pair of matches.
The Buff and Blue kicked off their weekend by hosting No. 7 Penn on Saturday afternoon at the Matthew J. Grossman Squash Courts. Despite falling, 6-3, the Colonials secured a trio of victories against the top-10 College Squash Association opponent. Zoe Foo Yuk Han continued her season-opening streak with her fourth straight win at No. 1. Fellow co-captain Engy Elmandouh defeated Jamila Tamer (3-2) at No. 2 to give GW its second win of the day while Zuha Nazir topped her opponent at No. 4 in a five-game battle, 4-11, 11-7, 6-11, 14-12, 11-8.
The Colonials closed out their weekend with a trip up to New York to face No. 6 Columbia on Sunday, but were defeated, 9-0.
UP NEXT: The Colonials will be idle from competition over the holidays and will return to competition at the beginning of January.
