Iott Named Second Team All-Conference

Senior outside hitter was one of league's best outside hitters
WASHINGTON - GW volleyball senior Skylar Iott earned Atlantic 10 Second Team All-Conference honors on Thursday, the league announced.
Iott is GW's first postseason award recipient since 2016 when Chidima Osuchukwu also earned second team honors. It's the first league honor for Iott in her storied GW career that sees her currently seventh in program history with 1,121 career kills and fourth with 3,533 total attempts.
The Ida. Mich, native saved her best for last in her senior year, setting career highs in kills/set (3.99), points (433), points/set (4.51) and blocks (40) while on the verge of 400 kills in a single season. She leads GW in kills and points while also ranking third on the team in digs.
Entering this weekend's A-10 Tournament, Iott is second in the league in kills/set, points per set, total points and total kills (383). Her 13.03 attacks per set rank fourth nationally.
Iott and the Colonials take on No. 5 seed La Salle in the quarterfinals of the championship on Friday at 3:30 p.m.
