Colonials secure pair of ladder victories against top-five CSA opponent
WASHINGTON – The George Washington men's squash team battled No. 4 Princeton, but ultimately fell, 7-2, on Sunday afternoon at the Matthew J. Grossman Squash Courts in the Lerner Health and Wellness Center.
Jamie Oakley secured the Colonials first victory at No. 3, defeating Princeton's Adhitya Rahousan in a five-game battle, 11-6, 11-2, 7-11, 5-11, 11-7. First-year Ian Blatchford also defeated his opponent in five, topping Maaz Kaim 12-14, 11-6, 11-9, 7-11, 11-8.
The Buff and Blue will have a week to recover before closing their season-opening home stand on Saturday, Nov. 23 by hosting the University of Pennsylvania for an 11 a.m. match.
