A Message from GW Squash Head Coach Anderson Good

"In a time like this, collective-minded compassion and empathy are crucial. We have compassion and empathy for the GW teams that had seasons cut short, we have compassion and empathy for the seniors at GW and schools across the country who are missing out on their final seasons, and finally, we have compassion and empathy for the people across the world making unimaginable sacrifices and are enduring unexpected hardship.
We were lucky enough to finish both of our seasons, but I want to thank our seniors, Jamie Oakley, Juan Sebastian Laguna and Geordie Laird of the men's team and Engy Elmandouh and Emma Tryon of the women's team. I am sorry your senior years are not ending up as originally planned, but we as a program could not be any more thankful for your contributions to the betterment of our programs over the last four years. All of you have a lifelong support system in the GW Squash program.
Whether in person or not, the GW Squash teams will continue to get better while we are away from Foggy Bottom and look forward to returning to Lerner as soon as we can, to continue to improve and represent GW Athletics to showcase discipline and excellence. We talk a lot about the ability to adapt with both teams. Our only choice to make the best of our current situation is to adapt to it, athletically and academically. We will adapt and continue to develop as students, athletes, and people during this unprecedented time. I want to thank all of the GW Squash supporters and parents who have shown unwavering support of our teams this season. We look forward to doing it again. Until then, please be safe and smart. See you at the courts soon!"
