
Men’s Squash Prepares for Pair of Matches this Weekend

Colonials face UVA on Friday; Princeton on Sunday
SERVING FIRST: The George Washington men's squash team is set to continue its season opening homestand on Friday when it hosts Washington-Jefferson Cup Rival No. 9 Virginia at the Matthew J. Grossman Squash Courts in the Lerner Health and Wellness Center at 5:30 p.m. The Colonials will then welcome No. 4 Princeton to Foggy Bottom on Sunday for a noon match.
LAST TIME OUT: The Buff and Blue opened the 2019-20 season in dominant fashion on Friday evening, sweeping Georgetown, 9-0. Karim Thabet, David Varela, Ian Blatchford, and Rohan Bagli all notched their first career collegiate victories.
WASHINGTON-JEFFERSON CUP: The Washington-Jefferson Cup started during the 2016-17 season as an annual rivalry between the Colonials and the Cavaliers. The winner is decided by the cumulative score of the men's and women's matches. GW will look to reclaim the cup after falling to Virginia for the first time since its inception last season.
