Women's Swimming & Diving Downs Boston College in Home Debut

Moussier, Ho and Omdahl Petersen were double winners
WASHINGTON - Andrea Moussier, Andrea Ho and Stine Omdahl Petersen were double winners Saturday as GW women's swimming and diving edged Boston College, 155-145, on Saturday afternoon at Smith Center Pool.
The Colonials won 10 of 16 events, highlighted by a 1-2-3-4 finish in the 200-yard individual medley late in the meet. They were able to clinch the home victory thanks to Ann Juneau's win in 2:07.33 with Jackie Torrez, Omdahl Petersen and Isabela Patino close behind.
HIGHLIGHTS:
- Moussier followed up a strong meet Friday at Navy by winning the 1,000 free (10:25.92) and 500 free (5:06.19) vs. Boston College.
- Ho won both backstroke races, taking the 100 back in 57.51 seconds and then the 200 back in 2:04.75. The junior from Australia also teamed with Omdahl Petersen, Meghan Burton and Becca Brown for a win in the meet-opening 200 medley relay in 1:45.97.
- A first-year from Norway, Omdahl Petersen edged Juneau for a win in the 100 breast (1:05.81) before also taking the 200 breast in 2:22.65, in addition to her third-place individual finish in the 200 IM.
- Patino claimed victory in the 100 free in 1:55.05 by seven-hundredths of a second and also led the Buff and Blue with a runner-up finish in the 200 free in 53.46 seconds.
- Torrez finished first in the 200 fly in 2:04.69, plus the runner-up showing in the 200 IM.
- First-year Caitlin Inall led GW on the 3-meter diving board (214.88), while Rachel Dickson was tops on 1-meter (230.93).
UP NEXT: GW is back in action next Saturday, visiting another ACC foe in Virginia Tech for a dual meet.
