Men's Soccer Hosts Davidson on Senior Day

Colonials to honor seven seniors and two graduate students prior to kickoff
The festivities recognizing Colin Anderson, Haukur Hilmarsson, Max Holdsworth, Noah Lubin, Reese Moore, Drini Redzepi, Gabriel Seemungal, Matt Sipowicz and Fares Tello will begin approximately 15 minutes before the 2 p.m. kickoff.
LAST TIME OUT: GW dropped a 1-0 decision vs. Howard on Tuesday in its non-conference finale. The Colonials outshot the Bison, 20-7, on the afternoon, but Andres Gomez's 57th-minute goal proved to be the difference.
SENIOR CELEBRATION: The group being honored Saturday has combined to play 18,811 minutes over 304 games for the Buff and Blue. The nine Colonials have combined for nine goals and 25 assists, paced by Max Holdsworth's 13 points via three goals and seven helpers.
Reese Moore is the most experienced member of the class. The captain from Columbus, Ohio, has started 59 of 63 games he's played and logged more than 5,000 minutes. The veteran defender and a few other Colonials share their favorite memories in Buff and Blue.

The midfielder from Portland, Oregon, has made an instant impact, seeing action in all 13 games this fall. He made his first start as a member of the Buff and Blue on Oct. 1 at No. 1 Virginia and then cracked the starting lineup again last Saturday at Duquesne before playing a season-high 65 minutes.
Sipowicz and a few of his teammates explain what it's meant to be a part of the program.
SCOUTING DAVIDSON: The Wildcats (2-8-2 overall) enter Saturday tied with GW in the Atlantic 10 standings at 1-3. Jamie DiLuzio has had a hand in six of Davidson's eight goals with two scores and four assists, while Sawyer Gaffney has played every minute in net and posted a 1.57 goals against average.
GW owns a 4-2-1 advantage in the series, including a 2-0 victory in the last meeting on the Vern on Oct. 18, 2017.
UP NEXT: GW closes out its home schedule next Wednesday with a visit from Saint Joseph's before facing A-10 foes VCU (Oct. 26) and Dayton (Nov. 2) on the road to close out the regular season.
