Colonials host George Mason on Thursday
BRONX, NY – The George Washington women's soccer team wrapped up its weekend road trip on Sunday afternoon with a 4-0 loss to Fordham at Jack Coffey field.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• 15th Minute – Fordham opened the scoring with a goal from Brooke Salmon off of a penalty kick. (FOR 1, GW 0)
• 58th Minute – The Rams created another score to pad the lead. This time, Amanda Miller took a pass from Morgan Busacca and was able to find the back of the net with a shot that just went past keeper Anna Tapen. (FOR 2, GW 0)
• 68th Minute – Fordham continued its second half surge with a goal from Margaret Roughley. (FOR 3, GW 0)
• 73rd Minute – The Rams registered their final tally of the game with another goal from Roughley. (FOR 4, GW 0)
NOTEWORTHY
• Sofia Pavon paced the team with a game-high four shots on the day while Hannah Zaluski, Natalie Silberman, Maria Pareja, Deena DeSilva and Beth Ellinport each tallied one.
• Keeper Anna Tapen faced 15 shots and made five saves in today's match, while Erica Lorenza faced one shot and logged 16 minutes between the pipes.
• The series between the Colonials and Rams now sits even at 7-7-4.
