Women's Water Polo Lands ACWPC Academic Honors

2018 ACWPC All-Academic Awards
BRIDGEPORT, Pa. - George Washington women's water polo matched a program record with 10 student-athletes earning Association of College Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) All-Academic recognition.
The Colonials, with a combined GPA of 3.20, were also among 54 teams nationwide honored.Erin McGeoy, Scarlett Hallahan and Emma Shaffer received superior status for holding cumulative GPAs between 3.41-3.70. Maggie Ball, Dara Bleiberg, Kira Bruno, Allison DeCicco, Maddie Goodell, Katherine Moeller and Samantha Runyon garnered excellent status for recording GPAs between 3.20-3.40. A total of 565 individuals were recognized in all by the ACWPC.
McGeoy and Hallahan were honored for the fourth consecutive season with Goodell and Ball recognized for a third time. DeCicco and Bruno made the list for the second straight year.
McGeoy (Marketing), Hallahan (Public Health), Ball (Criminal Justice) and Goodell (Criminal Justice) were among seven team members to graduate last month.
Ten Colonials also earned ACWPC All-Academic honors in 2011.
