Four Colonials Win Events at Cappy Anderson Invitational

Brown, Coombes, Dannheim and Weber earn individual crowns
PRINCESS ANNE, Md. - GW indoor track started its season with a solid showing at the Cappy Anderson Invitational hosted by Maryland Eastern Shore, claiming four event titles.
On the women's side, senior Halley Brown led a group of five Colonials who finished in the top six in the mile with a time of 5:13.18. Junior Suzanne Dannheim picked up where she left off from cross country season, winning the 3000m in a time of 10:31.13.
For the men, junior Jakob Coombes posted the top time in the 800m (2:01.22) and senior Andy Weber paced the field in the 3000m with a time of 8:49.11. Despite finishing 11th in the 200m, junior Jared Nelson set a PR with a time of 23.92, just .05 off the school record.
Women's Mile
