Colonials host Davidson on Thursday, travel to Saint Louis on Sunday
KICKING OFF: The George Washington women's soccer squad will host Davidson on Thursday at 3 p.m. for their finale at the GW Soccer Field on the Mount Vernon Campus before closing out their regular season at Saint Louis on Sunday at 2 p.m.
LAST TIME OUT: In its penultimate game at the GW Soccer Field on Sunday, the Colonials (9-6-1, 5-3-0 A-10) took a triumphant overtime win over the visiting Dayton Flyers, finding the back of the net in the game's 99th minute to earn the Senior Day victory.
WORKING OVERTIME: The Colonials went to extra time for the third time this season against Dayton. After rattling off four shots in the extra period, and holding the Flyers to none, the Colonials took control of the ball with two minutes left to play. With the one minute warning within reach, Sofia Pavon dodged ahead of the Dayton defense on the left side of the field and played a cross to Natalie Silberman who was able to tip it in to secure the GW victory. The Buff and Blue previously defeated Liberty in overtime (2-1, Aug. 19) and went to a scoreless draw with Maryland (Sept. 9).
RISING TO THE OCCASION: Silberman's goal at the 99th minute against the Flyers marks her second game-winner of the season and the third of her career. The sophomore took sole possession of second on the squad with 10 points (4g, 2a) on Sunday and has started all 16 contests this season.
HERE TO ASSIST: Pavon's assist on Silberman's goal on Sunday marked her career-high fifth helper of the season. The senior forward registered one assist as a first-year in 2015 and notched a pair of helpers in 2017. The Chicago, Illinois, native, has tallied at least one point in four of the last five matches.
SCOUTING DAVIDSON: The Wildcats (2-12-1, 0-7-1 A-10) fell to Massachusetts on Friday, 2-1, before going to a 1-1 draw with Duquesne on Sunday. The series history sits even at 1-1-1, with the squads playing to a scoreless draw last season at Davidson.
SCOUTING SAINT LOUIS: The Bilikens (13-3-1, 8-0 A-10) enter the final week of the regular season undefeated in conference play. Hannah Friedrich paces the squad with a conference-high 25 points (9g, 7a) while Olivia Silverman leads the team between the pipes with a 0.56 GAA. Saint Louis will travel to Massachusetts on Thursday before hosting the Colonials on Sunday.

The semifinal and final rounds will be held on Friday, November 2 and Sunday, November 4 at Dayton's Baujan Field. The Colonials head into their final two games in seventh place in the league standings.
